Erin Ehlert leverages trial law experience in “Lakewood 4” trial
Corr Cronin attorney Erin Ehlert represented the City of Lakewood in a portion of the “Lakewood 4” trial regarding a statement made by a member of the Lakewood Police Department and the City of Lakewood in their general media release in November 2022. Citing the First Amendment rights of City Officials and Law Enforcement, as well as the impact of the judge’s potential ruling on free speech, she argued that the statements in the media release were lawful and protected and should not be removed from any public site.

Attorney Erin Ehlert Joins Corr Cronin
Corr Cronin is pleased to announce veteran litigator Erin Ehlert has joined the firm as Of Counsel.
As a prosecutor for more than 20 years in King County, Washington, Erin rose to leadership roles as the co-chair of the Homicide Unit and the Seattle Assistant Chief of the Criminal Division. She left criminal prosecution in 2020, transitioning into civil litigation. Erin’s years of case and courtroom work provided her with the skills needed to investigate and develop complex cases and present creative, comprehensive and persuasive arguments to judges and juries.

Hosted by the WTIA’s Cascadia Blockchain Council and the Department of Financial Institutions (“DFI”), John Bender kicked off last fall’s State of Blockchain and FinTech in Washington Town Hall with opening remarks focusing on the vital role played by DFI in regulating the growing blockchain industry in Washington State.
