Corr Cronin attorneys John Bender, Jack Lovejoy, and Todd Williams participate in WTIA events

Corr Cronin has been a member of Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA) for several years, and we were honored to participate in several recent events.

Hosted by the WTIA’s Cascadia Blockchain Council and the Department of Financial Institutions (“DFI”), John Bender kicked off last fall’s State of Blockchain and FinTech in Washington Town Hall with opening remarks focusing on the vital role played by DFI in regulating the growing blockchain industry in Washington State. John’s presentation was followed by presentations by several DFI representatives, including Ali Higgs, Director of Regulatory and Legal Affairs, Nathan Quigley, Financial Legal Examiner with the Division of Securities, and Dew Bouton, Director of Legislative Policy. Watch a video of the event here; John’s talk begins at minute 1:50.

Last week, Jack Lovejoy and Todd Williams hosted a joint WTIA-Cascadia Blockchain Council “fireside chat and happy hour” at our downtown Seattle office. With a focus on digital asset innovation and challenges, attendees from a variety of industries and roles contributed to lively, creative discussion.
