Corr Cronin welcomes four new associates

Corr Cronin is pleased to welcome four new associates to our premier litigation firm. Kristen Barnhart, Laurel Brown, Brittany A. Madderra, and Spencer McCandless bring diverse experience and impressive credentials to our team of seasoned trial lawyers.

Kristen Barnhart, recently named a Super Lawyers “Rising Star,” represents clients in business litigation, construction defect, premises liability, products liability, tort claims, environmental litigation, and insurance law matters. Before entering private practice, she served as a judicial extern for the Honorable N. Randy Smith at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Laurel Brown leverages award-winning writing skills and a strong work ethic in her representation of clients in high-stakes litigation. Most recently, Laurel was a clerk for Justice Charles Johnson of the Washington State Supreme Court. In addition to her law degree, Laurel has her Master’s degree and Ph.D. in History of Science and Middle Eastern Studies from Columbia University, and she worked for five years as a professional writer.

Brittany A. Madderra represents clients ranging from local businesses and government entities to large corporations in complex litigation, mass torts, and products liability matters. She joins the firm following a clerkship for the Honorable Catherine Shaffer at the King County Superior Court. During law school, she was a judicial extern to Justice Susan Owens of the Washington State Supreme Court and served as Executive Managing Editor of Washington International Law Journal (formerly Pacific Rim Law & Policy Journal).

Spencer McCandless is an experienced associate who worked for a startup elite political law boutique in Washington, D.C., where he managed cases and client relationships in an all-hands-on-deck environment. In addition to completing both state and federal clerkships, Spencer achieved a 4.00 grade point average at The George Washington University Law School and graduated in the top one percent of his class.
