Washington’s new noncompete rules are already having a national impact, especially as employees are increasingly working remotely. A recent case of Corr Cronin’s was profiled in The Washington Post, outlining some of the complex issues that arise out of noncompetes for both employees and employers. The story of a Washington resident is highlighted in the article. When he switched from one job to another, his former employer sued him in Illinois. Corr Cronin client Yelp has since sued the former employer over its noncompete practices in Washington.
